I think Cisco's acting is pretty solid, he's just got that raspy arse voice. he's portaying the hardass, quiet type IMO
griggs seems like a snake, I could see him fricking over Micky at the end
is there a season 2? or does it end at 1? (DONT SPOIL ANYTHING, just say another season or not)

there was a scene in the first or second episode where cisco and haller were just having a conversation, but their faces were like 1' apart. No one gets that close to converse

I finished it over the weekend. It was okay. I couldn't get over Cisco and Griggs voice. I looked up an interview with the actor that plays Cisco and he does have a deep voice already but he's Australian. I wonder if he has to do the deeper and raspy voice to do his American accent. Also, I had a hard time believing that Hallers blonde ex and Cisco were getting married. They showed them kiss once and i lol'd.

I'm not so sure the acting is that terrible, but the actors definitely seem to not have good chemistry on screen. I would attribute what you think is bad acting as simply poor casting.

I think it is excellent and the lead actor is very good. Entertaining show I thought.

I'm about 1/2 way through and it seems more fit for network tv. Bland lead actor and the plot is vanilla. I'll finish but won't watch another season.

Agree about the network tv comment.
It’s not a bad show but it just feels kinda “meh”. I’m on the side of feeling like either the acting is bad or the actors’ chemistry is bad.

Enjoyed the story. The court room scenes were really well done, as was the sense of what it’s like to be a lawyer.

Idk which is true to the book but I liked the movie Mickey Haller better than the show version. Idk if it’s the acting bc I’m pretty indifferent to mcconaughey. Just seemed like he was meant to be a cool slickster like in the movie. I only watched a little bit but the character in the show kinda seemed like a dude who didn’t really have his shite together.

It wasn't bad but it is pretty cookie cutter to me. Everyone is sexy with their own quirks. Think Burn Notice with lawyers

I’ve read 5 or 6 books and he’s between the two. He’s a bit more understated like the Netflix show but also sharp like the movie.
We started today and I do like it. People were right about Cisco being a terrible actor. It’s fine but noticeably bad.
