How is it compared to hell or high water, wind river, sicario?

3 fantastic movies imo hope Sheridan makes it 4/4 for me

It’s not on that level

Is more like Sicario 2, which is also awesome as an action flick but not at his top level stuff

The accountant's late wife was Bernthal's sister. So nephew is the answer.

this was very meh

even the dialogue had some legit eye-rolling cringe

"i hate this mountain" (place?)

"it hates you too"

also, Jolie was bad casting for this movie. she was legitimately too pretty for this role and it distracted from any scene she was in

Was 30 more minutes of Tyler perry talking on the phone to politicians or a scene where the kid looks at the content of what his dad uncovered going to make it a better movie? I don’t think so.

i think there was some real meat with the locals that was stripped off the bone and would have made this movie better

you don't need 30 more minutes of exposition but some more time with the characters would have done a world of good

Maybe, but 30 minutes is a helluva lot of fat for a movie that’s just meant to be a fun breezy action thriller.

One of my favorite things about this movie is that is has an hour and 40 minute run time that feels like an hour and 20. They get you right into it and don’t waste time

Why doesn't the kid ever mention the fact that they were coming up there to see the uncle? "So and so is my uncle." "Oh, that's my ex-boyfriend, the sheriff." "Yay, we need guns."

I just finished it, and for a free movie on HBO Max I liked it. May have liked it less if I paid $40 to go see at the theater. I didn’t mind not knowing what the dad found out.

Pretty entertaining movie. Plus, Angelina Jolie is still such a smoke show, no pun intended. It’s crazy how fine she still is in her 50s or however old she is

Movie was barely better than bad. I’m actually very disappointed that came from Sheridan.

It’s like a 5 or 6 out of 10

Wind River is one of the best movies I’ve seen in the past few years.

This was completely forgettable.

or the fact that what was written on the note was never revealed, so we don’t know why they wanted him dead in the first place.

I know exactly why they wanted him dead, to cover up a high level conspiracy and to cover up evidence of their own murder that the boy witnessed. It’s simple really

I think Angelina Jolie was completely miscast in this role.

But, to be fair, I’m not sure which actress fits the bill as a smoke jumper.

No one. That's why it's moronic for the lead to be female. Just imagine how much brush this film wound have been of Chris Pratt were the lead and not Jolie.

Hell, I wound have even taken 70+yr old Sly Stallone in a box to Cliffhanger.

The film would still be borderline bad, though, no matter who you carry as the lead. The film has no juice, the bad guys are idiots. I assume they were supposed to be some kind of ex Spec ops guys or something, which makes them the most incompetent high level operators ever.

Only in Hollywood can a 95 lb woman continue to kickass for several decades and now let’s add take a direct hit from a lightning bolt to the list.

The movie was entertaining but glad I saw it on HBO max and not at the movies.
