I still remember the 1989 introduction of red balloons. What a time to be alive.

I wouldn’t have wanted to watch it right after the ending of BB.
No, you only give that to people long after they think they've seen it all

Same here, absolute momentous occasion that I can recall today. I remember sitting in our Chevy Celebrity Station Wagon waiting on my parents to get out of the gas station and showing off to some kids in the car next to us that we got a box of those Lucky Charms with the red balloons.

I enjoyed it
And when I rewatched BB earlier this year I watched El Camino immediately afterwards and didn't feel that it was out of place.
Has kind of an epilogue type feel to it. You just finished a heart pounding fricking insane final season of BB and now you get this relatively chill "movie" that gives our late protagonist's right hand man a peaceful conclusion.
And yeah, fat Todd was distracting initially, but was easy to overlook during a rewatch.

Jesse pays the vacuum cleaner guy to take him to Alaska. Last scene is Jesse leaving a letter for Brock with the vacuum cleaner guy and driving off on some road in Alaska.
I actually really liked the ending; his flash back on Jane and Jesse finally getting inner peace he’s been missing his whole life impacted me at least
Side note; was also one of robert forsters last scenes before he passed away. RIP

If I am remembering correctly he died the day the movie was released. I liked his character quite a bit, he didn't take no shite and was nothing but business
