Was Charlie Conway or Adam Banks the better hockey player?

I always sensed some sort of jealousy from Charlie towards Adam, especially when Adam was chosen to play for the varsity in the 3rd installment of Mighty Ducks.
Just wanted to get the boards opinion.

Banks not even close.
Conway was the coach on the ice but Banks had more pure skill than anyone in that entire league.

The cake eater was basically Gretzky

He was just there at the Jr games in MD2 because coach Bombay fricked his mom

Charlie got better as the series went but Banks was still more skilled.
For comparisons sake, id say Banks was more of a Sidney Crosby on the ice while Charlie was like a Toews or Patrice Bergeron. Great two way player but not a game changer like the cake eater. To me, it didn’t seem like Charlie took hockey seriously until Bombay dropped him in D3.
He didn’t really care for hockey that much in the original. He played for Bombay because he wanted a father figure. Then in D2, Bombay pulls up and Charlie is inside doing homework. What was Banks doing? Practicing outside.

thats because charlie conway was a big ol puss. he gave away his spot on the roster in the damn world games. that should tell you all you need to know about him.

Banks was like the best player in the league.
But his mom didn’t put out.

Have you watched any of these movies?

Right. This isn't even a message board debate. They answered the question in the second movie. Having said that, if Bombay was all about winning, he should've just sat fricking Averman.

Conway the better leader. Banksy the better play. Not even a question.

This. It's evident in D2 when Banks comes back from injury and Charlie makes himself a healthy scratch because he recognizes that the team needs Banks and Russ Tyler on the ice more than himself.

To add to this debate, Goldberg should have hung up his skates when he saw a real goalie, Julie the Cat

Conway was literally the team mascot. He was a simple pussy play for Coach Bombay.

Goldberg was a classic enforcer, he just needed to be unleashed.

Charlie was a shite leader. He led player revolts in every single movie b/c he constantly let his personal feelings get in the way of what was best for the team. He was also a headcase as he couldn't even function as a player if the team wasn't called the Ducks.

I think we need an in depth breakdown of the Mighty Ducks series like we had of home alone. I don't have a way with words so I will need one of you pros to do it. one would say I'm the Charlie Conway of writing.

The newer posters on the MSB would have hated Julie the Cat.
I always wondered if Dean Portman ended up doing time.
And I think since this is a thread full of rational posters with intelligence and nuanced opinions on hockey, we can agree on the following comparisons.
Gunner Stahl: Best of Ovechkin and Peter Forsberg
Adam Banks: Sidney Crosby
Charlie Conway: Poor man’s Ron Francis
Julie the Cat: Carli Lloyd on ice
Dean Portman: Colt Lyerla on ice (have fun with that double entendre)
