Thanks! I just pulled up a relatively little-known but grounded 1977 horror flick I hadn’t seen since I was 14 called “Rabid” (pandemic/contagion/zombie-ish starring former porn star Marilyn Chambers who was just breaking into mainstream movies). It was in HD and with subtitles. I think I’m gonna like this site, if it lasts.

I did try to “test” the limits of the search engine for obscure titles and looked up “The Pink Satin Suit”, a remote documentary about my grandfather, New Orleans photographer Johnny Donnels. Unfortunately, it wasn’t there. But maybe it’s more for movies than it is for documentaries.

Thank you so much for posting this. Really looking forward to watching some classic tv shows that are hard to find anywhere else.

Wow, that's so cool, Geauxld.

The story goes that post-WWII, was he was one of the first artists at Jackson Square in a small fledgling group that called themselves "The Starving Artists". A passerby was taking pictures and then asked Johnny "How much for the painting?" Johnny told him it was free, if the guy traded his camera for the painting. They traded and Johnny jumped deep into b&w photography, eventually earning a modicum of international success. Point is, he said he rarely painted after the photography deep dive, so that's a nice item you have. (Fwiw, he passed away in 2009. Coincidentally, yesterday would've been his 98th birthday.)

The raid on Mar-a-Lago was really because Trumps employees there were watching the OP's site.

Very cool story. I missed out on a lot of his photographs a while back. I’ll remedy that some day.

Now that I know there’s a relation, I’ll have to put one of your works in the area as well. I’m thinking “Splendor in the Grass.”

So, yesterday, I ended up going on a 3-movie mini-horror binge. I started with the low-budget Rabid, which I hadn't seen in 40 years and was pleasantly surprised it retains its creepiness. And two of them I had previously never felt compelled to rent or buy, Get Out & Hereditary, both of which were not flawless, but turned out to be highly entertaining & visually well-made. So glad I finally watched them. All 3 were in 1080p and two offered subtitles. This really is a great site, once you learn how to dodge the initial 2 or 3 pop-up ads.

Thanks, again. I may go on a sci-fi binge today.

I spent quite a bit of time on there last night. It's definitely not every movie and tv show ever made. But it is, without a doubt, better than every other streaming service combined...by a lot.

The selection of classic movies and tv shows is pretty much everything that I've been looking for.

The OP said earlier in the thread that he's been visiting this site for multiple years, so maybe it has some staying power and will last. I hope so. It has a great collection/archive.

I'm watching/visiting the site on my 65" LG smart tv/web browser, not my computer or laptop. LG tv doesn't allow downloads, not even google chrome or safari. So I unfortunately have to dodge the pop-ups if I want the movies on the big screen.
