Pretty good flick with Tim Blake Nelson as the main character. Not a real fast moving film, but enough to hold interest until the somewhat surprise ending.
Nelson carries the role well and it took me a while to take his role seriously after seeing him in 'O Brother Where Art Thou" playing Delmar and as Buster Scruggs in "The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs", but he does an excellent job playing a serious role.
Most of the cast of a dozen or so men are relative unknowns to me with Trace Adkins being the only name I really recognized with a small, but powerful part.

Did you rent it or is it on any streaming services?

Cable service on SHO for the past few nights.

You didn't recognize Stephen Dorff?
Watched this the other day and thought it was a solid and satisfying little western. Seeing TBN in a serious role was different but I thought he did really well.

I'm actually not too big on watching a lot of movies, so I didn't recognize much of the cast other than Trace Adkins and Nelson.
I know of Adkins from music, not for his acting, although I thought he did a respectable job in his small part as the no-nonsense brother-in-law.

SHO has played it about six nights in a row. My wife is sick of it

Most intimidating use of the Spanish language I've seen in a movie.

I thought this was a great movie. Not necessarily epic, but very entertaining. Henry was a bad mofo. And Trace Adkins, of whom I’m not really a fan, was surprisingly good.

Needs to be in more movies. He's always great in what he does and can do comedy drama whatever.

Decent movie. Mild spoilers:
I thought the twist regarding Henry’s identity was unnecessary.
Also, on two occasions after gunfights characters who should know better would just walk up to wounded but clearly not dead opponents who were still armed, just to chat or taunt them, presenting an easy shot from the ground. Both got away with it as my eyes rolled.

Underrated actor in my opinion.

Yeah, it’s like saying the part about outer space was unnecessary in Star Wars

What??? It ties his actions to the threat in a way you'd think a man of his caliber would react to such threats to him and his family------no matter how long he lived in obscurity.

His identity made him the gunfight more believed.

Full spoiler.
There was no need for him to be the actual Billy the Kid. I couldn’t help but roll my eyes when that reveal started, taking me out of the movie for a minute. An anonymous or original former gunfighter would’ve accomplished the same as far as motivation and ability - think William Munney in Unforgiven, or Costner’s character in Open Range. There’s a reason those characters weren’t secretly Wyatt Earp and Wild Bill Hickok - because it would’ve been a little silly. And so was this.

Spoiler alert:
But that was the entire point of the movie. It was essentially a fictional biopic of Billy the Kid's later years that addressed real life theories about Billy the Kid ultimately surviving and getting away.
Think of it as a telling of the untold story of Billy the Kid. In contrast, the plots of Unforgiven and Open Range had nothing to do with Earp or Hickok.

Not a real fast moving film
Like most modern day westerns.. It was hard not to fall asleep until the last 10 minutes of the movie.
