Great cast and good story line. Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Wahlberg, Eva Mendes and Robert Duvall.
I feel like this movie is very underrated and I hardly ever see it mentioned.
Anyone else here like it?

I heard Putin didn't like the way the former Russian citizens were portrayed.
I was really disappointed there weren't a bunch of naked, or near naked Eastern European women chopping up the drugs, when they took Bobby to see the operation.

I didn't see it in the theater, but watched it a bunch of times when it hit my movie channels. As usual, Robert Duvall is great in it. The club , and Bobby's apartment, look fun. The drug dealing nephew is great as the bad guy. The old Russian guy is a great actor.

Saw it maybe four years ago on Netflix and really liked it. Hadn’t heard much about it when it came out or afterwards.

Shacked up and had a kid with Ryan Gosling during A Place Beyond the Pines, made plenty of money, had about a 10-year run, and said she didn't want to do babe type of rolls anymore after having a baby.
Last thing she was in I remember was 'Clear History' with Larry David... Where she was in a fat suit half the movie.
Great for comedic effect in the film... But not so great for an actress whose entire career was basically based on being stunningly beautiful, and looking like no one else in the business.
Btw, does nobody else remember her in Training Day and 2 Fast 2 Furious? She was kind of a staple in early 00s films as the bombshell.
She also totally market corrected Jennifer Esposito.

One of my favorite under the radar movies, great score. And Joaquin's acting during the wire scene gave me diarrhea
