1) Shawshank Redemption: Andy's escape scene starting with Andy talking to Red in the yard and ending with the warden taking one to the chin

2) Good, Bad, Ugly: Final 3 way standoff. Most epic use of music to build suspense in movie history

3) Saving Private Ryan: Opening Scene... D-Day

4) Godfather 1: Baptism and taking out the 5 families scene.

5) LOTR: Battle of Helms deep

6) Pulp Fiction: Royale with Cheese conversation

7) Star Wars Ep V: "Luke I am your Father" and Luke fighting Darth Vader

8) The Shining: Jack goes crazy and attacks his family with an axe

9) Terminator II: Escape from the hospital and chase scene

10) Psycho: Shower Scene

Not “cinema”, but I feel like Luke’s arrival at the end of Mandolorian will be right up there with the Last of the Mohicans scene.

That's not what he says. If you're going to make a list, at least get the quotes right.

The Goodfellas tracking shot through the kitchen to the show is a classic.

Waterloo - Napoleon sends in the Imperial Guard
No CGI, just thousands of extras

The Wild Bunch - We Want Angel to Final Shootout
Sam Peckinpah at his Peckinpah-ish

The Natural - Roy Hobbs puts on a light show
Admit it, you got fired up the first time you saw this

Jaws - The Great Barrel Chase
Spielberg, John Williams and a shark. What more do you need?

Just to add something a little different to the discussion, the river boat scene in The Night of the Hunter LINK. Very well done, and has a real magical feel to it.

Read through your list twice:

Where did you forget to put the opening scene of The Lion King?

Irrespective of genre, it is among the greatest scenes ever put to film
