What university did Indiana Jones teach at?

Watched Raiders yesterday afternoon and it occurred to me that I always assumed that the university he taught at was in the Northeast somewhere. He went to University of Chicago btw.
When he's leaving on the plane to go to Nepal, the map shows him leaving from California. Is the school he teaches at in California somewhere? The exterior shots of the campus in all of the movies make it seem very New Englandy.
Just wondering

I think it’s two universities. Marshall College and I can’t remember the other.

Fictional Marshall College (named for Frank Marshall) in Bedford, CT (not to be confused with the real Marshall University, which was called Marshall College back then, located in West Virginia).
Senior taught at Princeton.
Senior taught at Princeton.

His Facebook info says, "School of Hard Knocks", so he's one of THOSE douches.

So why's he flying from California? Shouldn't the map have shown him leaving from NYC?

quote:I saw him kick some hippie's arse at the Free Speech Alley one afternoon in 1978. I heard he sent some adjunct professor to teach his class the day after Emmylou Harris sang with Willie Nelson at the PMAC. Willie was so wasted he couldn't remember some of the songs. He was hammering a bottle of Jack he had sitting on a Marshall amp. I guess Emmylou needed an escort afterwards. Those were some fun days!

What does that have to do with the Indiana Jones franchise?
