Yeah, her family has a fricking castle/chateau and is LOADED.

And he made a ton of money on GOT. I bet he's just chilling now.

Is that the castle? Thought it was much less impressive when I googled.

The castle was built in 1600.

ETA: nvm, you posted Wardhill castle where her family currently resides. The castle I posted is Lickleyhead which is where she grew up.

but she is not a great actress. Plus she's only like 20 or so.

She's been a part of 2 tent pole franchises before "around 20." I think she's seen some great actors work, will learn from them, and will continue to get better. And speaking of great actors...

Basically everyone in the GoT cast besides the older folks, Heady, Dance, Dinklage, Bean, etc were pretty average actors.

What a strange hedge. The "older folks" being all non-children? You're right that most of the children they hired when they were children didn't have the fully formed acting abilities of trained adults, because they were children.

But Aiden Gillen, Kristofer Hivju, Clarice van Houten, Michelle Fairley, Natalie Dormer, Stephen Dillane, IAN MCSHANE, and others have done great work in other projects.

He’s saying everyone besides those already more established, older actors were average. Which I also disagree with,

Alfie Allen will get roles. I thought he had by far one of the most difficult roles. He basically played three or four different characters on the show given the ups and downs of Theon/Reek.

Rory will probably surprise in some more serious roles. Probably smaller, indie style films that get a lot of Oscar buzz. Maybe not a leading man, but a great supporting actor.

I thought I read he didnt want to play such a "heavy" character like Jon Snow for awhile and Batman is the ultimate "heavy" character.

Yep

Still though, her family is very old money wealthy apparently. And very connected politically from what I read. He married up for sure.

I can't understand half this shite, but it sounds impressive

Looking at the career trajectories of LoTR actors is probably a good way to guess what might happen.

So two actors that go on to become big stars/have great careers (Cate Blanchett and Viggo Mortensen) while the others have middling careers with career trajectories that remain unchanged from where they were before? I predict those two stars to be Jason Momoa and Richard Madden while GOT will likely be the biggest role in the careers for the rest of the cast.

Orlando Bloom and Elijah Woods were both huge after, but I suppose you can say they have fizzled out.

Mamoa was a known quantity after co-starring on Stargate Atlantis for five seasons btw. Though GoT’s shirtless scenes prolly got him the blockbuster roles.

And yea. Madden. He got a head start dying off quick though.
