Not sure how many dates he will be playing. Right now, tickets go on sale friday for Royal Albert Hall for 5 days worth or shows.
Would really like to know if he is coming to the states or not. If not, we may be taking a road trip

saw an interview where he said the set will be mostly his new album that just came out plus a few post-waters Floyd tunes. He definitively said no 70s music at all

Yea, I think you will get some Division Bell and some stuff from Gilmour's solo albums. Rattle that lock/On a island.

Jeez. Why would you mostly do new material on your last tour? Does he hate his fans?

If I had to guess, it's probably more because of his ongoing feud with Roger Waters.

you gonna see Brit Floyd later this month? Man I was blown away when I saw em at the fox on their wall tour a few years back. They're playing here in Bham in a few weeks and I'm going to go. I don't really care for division bell so not super wild about a Pulse tour, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it nonetheless.

His new single is ok, but what a waste of a tour. He's letting Roger win.

Other decades "might be better represented," Gilmour admits to Uncut. "I mean, at least one from the '60s. The one we've done in the past is 1967's 'Astronomy [Domine].' That's always entertaining and fun, and gets people off to a happy start. There's songs from [1987's] A Momentary Lapse of Reason and [1994's] The Division Bell albums. I mean, I think 'High Hopes' is as good as anything we ever did at any time."
UCR
Ummmm, no. Not even close.

I wonder if he has to pay royalties to Waters-written songs. From Gilmour’s perspective, he can fill an arena without having to write a check to a guy who has publicly attacked himself and his wife on numerous occasions, so why not do that.
I’ll be curious to see the Royal Albert Hall setlist. There is a lot of early PF and early solo material that would be great to hear that has rarely, if ever, been done live.

I think he is planning on doing more of his solo stuff. Rattle that lock, On an island and the new album.
He can play anything he has writing credits on and he has been for 30 years. It's not a royalties thing. I believe it was just a decision to do the newer stuff.

I went to see them with the Pulse tour a few weeks ago in Clearwater. Was an awesome show and a great setlist. I like the Division Bell stuff so I enjoyed it. Having Sorrow, Dogs, Astronomy Domine, etc in the same concert was amazing
Go see it. You will not regret it.

Caught them in Houston based on reviews on this board. Fantastic show. As close to getting Pink Floyd back as we’ll get.

They really put on a great show if you like Pink Floyd. They typically have great setlist and the tickets are typically very affordable. I had great seats in Clearwater for $50 each...
Really a no brainer for Floyd fans..... The only issue down here is, there are more walkers, canes and wheel chairs at the concert than hot women.

Today is decision day to buy the tickets or not. Still on the fence. They go on sale in the morning and they will sell out fast.
I honestly have no itch to visit the UK but would like to see a concert at Royal Albert Hall. May need a new plan

Years ago, Pink Floyd played in Dallas at the old Texas Stadium in Irving. A dozen of us went to the concert, with tickets in different areas. I usually had great tickets to concerts but I didn't get my own. My wife and I ended up with absolutely garbage seats - high up and partially obstructed. Wife was young and hot (redhead with a tan) and wore a red leather dress with boots. Some roadie came up and moved us to a vacant seating area adjacent to stage left. The seats were great, and we were the only ones there.
We partied hard (particularly me) before the show and I don't remember much else about the show.

do you happen to recall your wife being missing for a little while after the show?

listened to the new song and i just think it sucks.
Dude has drifted into pure dad rock, where his wife writes all the shitty lyrics.

I like the guitar outro but let's face it, Gilmour solo has never been very good and Pink Floyd after Waters is not good either. I get Waters is a huge douche but he was still needed in that band.

I still think divison bell and momentary lapse are great.
And all the great concert footage of floyd is post waters. Delicate sound of thunder and pulse are great.
The only one of waters that is tolerable is in the flesh. I have it on cd and dvd. But even then it doesnt hit the same. Its much easier to have someone sing the waters parts vs waters having someone else sing davids parts.
