“Nothing's Shocking” released today in 1988. What’s your favorite Jane’s Addiction song?

Jane’s Addictions debut Album
Jane’s is one of the few bands that could never be labeled in any certain music genre. IMO
They showed up in the late 80’s right before Grunge and they sounded and look different than anything prior. They stand alone still.
Favorite songs are Mountain Song and Summertime Rolls
All lyrics are written by Perry Farrell; all music is composed by Jane's Addiction
No. Title Length
1. "Up the Beach" 3:00
2. "Ocean Size" 4:20
3. "Had a Dad" 3:44
4. "Ted, Just Admit It..." 7:23
5. "Standing in the Shower... Thinking" 3:03
6. "Summertime Rolls" 6:18
7. "Mountain Song" 4:03
8. "Idiots Rule" 3:00
9. "Jane Says" 4:52
10. "Thank You Boys" 1:01
11. "Pigs in Zen" (not on vinyl edition)
I have a ticket to see them and Love and Rockets on Sunday in New Orleans but can’t make it

I listen to Lithium quite a bit, but anything by Jane's Addiction or Alice in Chains is an immediate channel change. Just never got into their stuff

I ate some mushrooms one night a few months ago, and had the music on my giant Spotify master playlist on shuffle and Summertime Rolls came on, and it resonated with me that night like it had never before. Great song for psychedelics. So probably that one.

That’s sad. Can’t imagine not liking either of those

Hard to pick just 1!
Eta different version.
Love Perry's banter with the thrown Birkenstock and stolen girlfriend on the live version of Been Caught.Stealin, etc, guy is nuts, lol.

One of the greatest albums ever. Especially when compared to the other stuff coming out of LA at the time.

Saw them live for the first time a couple years ago, opening for Smashing Pumpkins. They were incredible. I've always been a casual fan, but they blew me away that night.

I acquired a bootleg Jane’s Addiction CD in the early 90’s called Live and Rare. It had a bunch of awesome songs. At the time, the only song of theirs I knew was Been Caught Stealing because that was the only one that got any radio or MTV play.
I don’t know exactly what moment it was, but I remember having my mind blown the first time I heard Three Days.
Three Days is still my favorite.
Jane Says was the most requested song from that cd by my friends.

Saw them open for Love and Rockets at Tipitinas the night before Thanksgiving in 1987. Tips pulled in so many future huge bands back between 1985 to 1995 it was crazy. Pearl Jam, NIN for $1.00, Jane's, Alice in Chains, Helmet. Damn it was a great time!
My kids are so jealous. They listen to all of that and can't believe I talked to Trent Reznor at his van parked across from Tips when they opened for Jesus and Mary Chain in 1990 and nobody cared that they walked through the crowd after their set. That was when I found out that there was a Terminator 2 coming out because the guitarist told me his brother was going to be the new terminator. I was like "OK cool" doubting him. Turns out it was Robert Patrick's brother. I didn't know of either of them.
Favorite song of theirs is probably Mountain Song..

I was there that night too. Still have the ticket that says James Addiction. Dead center on the balcony. Next day after thanksgiving meal, went to see U2 at the LSU assembly center.
