Looking to get a new pair of festival shoes. Something comfortable that dries quickly and can be worn without socks. Not sandals.

Most festivals I have been to required a good deal of walking so I would go with a pair of trail runners like Saucony Perigrines (they run short).

I'm sure I will get downvoted to oblivion, but to me, there is not much more of a DISGUSTING look than a man that wears closed shoes with no socks.
I'm not talking about flip flops or sandals, or possibly even Crocs (although they look pretty bad with or without), those are all standardly worn without socks.
THE WORST is a suit with dress shoes and no socks. I wanna puke every time I see that. Women in shoes with no socks? Not a problem, because in general, women are cleaner, don't sweat as much, and take care of themselves better than men do.
Downvote away, and I apologize in advance for going on a fashion/ hygiene rant on the music board.

You've never seen socks that don't show?
Made specifically for that purpose. I've got some for river wear to protect against sand and grit but not create another tan line. Work great for sailing and whitewater .
Me: Birkenstock Tatami's (the discontinued one's that look like Leather Croc's but 20 years old.)

First off, I dont give 2 shits about what another person wears or what they find comfortable.
But the above is a total crock of shite.

Just have your boyfriend carry you on his back during the festival.

You aren’t festivaling right if you’re wearing shoes!
Just kidding, but I did have an old tour buddy named Barefoot Jim (real name Jim Taft) who literally went without shoes year round for many years while following the Dead. Came and crashed with me for a week or so in the Winter and literally walked around without shoes with like 6 inches of snow on the ground. Was wild. He’d go barefoot in like Chicago, New York… wherever tour took him. We are friends on Facebook, and it appears he does wear shoes now, at least occasionally.
As for the original question: I usually wear Chacos or Birkenstocks. Astrals would likely fit your requirements of being amphibious and quick drying as well.

I’ve been buying Tevas (shoes, not sandals) for a while now. They’re really comfortable.
