When CJ was not having to be the focal point of the offense and he had a guy that wasn’t afraid to take shots ahead of him he was killing it. In case you have no idea what I’m talking about look at CJ stats when playing with Zion vs his stats with BI. Any sort of pressure by the other team and BI folds like a little bitch which in turn makes the whole team fold. CJ does start jacking up shots but that’s simply because who else will take the lead?

I get what you’re saying in regards to CJs attitude but he has been absolute garbage since the warriors game. Yes hes in not an appropriate role but that doesn’t give an excuse for playing this BAD. CJ is not a role player- his play should not be that strictly tied to Zion. And if it is he shouldn’t be your number 3 or get paid the amouny of money hes getting. You’re paying CJ to not just be successful with Zion but also without him especially since Zion has issues staying healthy. We’re not paying CJ to be a strictly catch and shoot guy for Zion.

CJ was 0-7 in the 1st 7 minutes of the game when it was still a back and forth tight game. If he would’ve shown up early tonight, we would’ve been up by 12 immediately and maybe the game has a different feel to it.

This is the 2nd game in the series that OKC played like complete dog shite for extremely long stretches of the game and we ended up losing both bc Mr President didn’t even show up to the basketball game. Neither did Brandon. But it’s not 1 or the other’s fault necessarily. It’s both. CJ hasn’t played even an average game since we beat Golden State 2 weeks ago.

One thing is for certain, BI must go. I always gave him the benefit of the doubt regarding his dgaf demeanor but I truly believe he dgaf and his attitude is a negative for building the right culture

Zion getting hurt when he did set us up for failure. But yet I think game 1 and 3 were somewhat winnable if we even get an average performance from CJ. He has been abysmal this series. Look up his salary and stop making excuses for this man. I’ve seen Shel say he was the best 3 pt volume shooter in the NBA this season about 42 different times yet he is 5-22 from 3 this series and making like $40M a year, he doesn’t get excuses. Send him packing, you don’t get to shoot like that while simultaneously being the worst defender on the team

Zion, Herb, Trey.

Dyson 1 more year to see if he can improve
Hawkins more time to see what he can be

The rest can go.

He can be a guy who plays in spurts depending on matchup, privide depth, and cost the minimum. He is what he is, but he definitely has value as an end-of-rotation guy

It’s not players , it’s coaching bro. We could have all the talent in the world but with this staff we would still suck

Why are you pretending CJ is so good offensively

CJ was statistically more efficient and better at defense than Dame Lillard basically this entire year. Him, Z, and Trey are offensively the only reasons we even made it to the playoffs.

As for the playoff series and play in….. not really any way to defend CJ, he’s been atrocious.

Trey has has a tendency to disappear at times as well. I think a lot of has to do with the fact that we run nothing for him and no screens to get him open. He needs to be a bigger part of the offense.

Yeah but Dame was a LOT better offensively. So this is not remotely a good comparison.

Herb Jones shooting percentage and JV saving our asses with his offense were also a big part. BI had his games as well.

And this is why you pay someone all that money. If they’re useless in the playin and playoffs since hes been here- hes getting overpaid.

Agreed. Other than spurts of JV, hes been our best player this series.
