I ran Tankathon 10 times. We got first once, 2nd about 2-3 times, etc, with about 2 times at 5th and 1 at 6th.

The chances of ending up 6th are very low because we have to get jumped by 4 teams. Considering us and the Wizards have about a 14% chance, it means that a lot of low odds teams would have to jump both of us.

I do not keep up with college or draft prospects

I know this draft is suppose to have some big time prospects

Could we still get someone good at the 6th spot?

The quality of prospects takes a hit by 6 from what I understand, but not as bad as in other seasons.

Cool

With the emergence of Trey this year it will take a lot of pressure of whomever we draft.

I always run Tankathon UNTIL...we get the 1st pick...THEN stop... & if somebody asks... I can HONESTLY say,

"The last time I ran Tankathon...we got the #1 pick !!"

(Just makes me feel better about our chances)

While Flagg would be nice, getting Harper the combo guard may be a better fit for us.

Flagg is just too good. You can see he’s going to get A LOT better too. He’s gotten so much better from game 1, and he’s a guy that just won’t have many holes in his game in a couple years.

There are a handful a players that are projected to go in that 6-12 range that have really good potential, but a good bit of risk.

Tre Johnson is an elite scorer who is projected to go 6 right now

Egor Demin is a 6’9 PG who’s been really streaky

Jeremiah Fears is an explosive freshman PG but he can’t shoot and has some poor ast/to numbers

Khaman Maluach Is a 7’2 C who moves really well and has a smooth shot, but barely plays and doesn’t produce

Asa Newell is really nice freshman PF that I think will be a great pro, just doesn’t make sense for our needs.

Kon Knueppel seems like an average all around player. Probably not who we would want at 6 either

We’re not going to outsuck the wizards.

Best position we can hope for is bottom 2 or 3.

If he is on the board when we draft, we can’t pass him up.

But I’m point out that Harper is a good consolation prize at 2.

What about the other guard from Rutgers? Ace Bailey?

Or Kasparas Jakucionis

Jakucionis seems like a nice fit on paper. Haven’t watched him to know just how good he is.

Bailey is a jumbo athlete but really raw. Has all the potential in the world but doesn’t impact the game the same way as Flagg. All of his stats outside of scoring are lacking for a guy with as much talent as he has. I still think he’s the clear #3 player on the board because of potential.

Ya'll need to watch VJ Edgecombe's highlights against UCF. OMG it sounds crazy but that's some Dwade, Ant, Westbrook like explosiveness. Look how in the second half how he starts leveraging his speed. There is a play the defenders casually try to trap him in the backcourt. VJ kicks to a wing at half court then just sprints ahead gets the ball back and takes it to the rim. He has effortless athleticism and pace

Edgecomb is ridiculously athletic. His shooting has also picked up too.

I'm worried harper and Bailey are just putting up volume, their team as a whole is atrocious.

Currently (sitting at #2 worst record) we have a 27.8% chance of getting #5 and a 20% chance of #6.

I’m hoping for straight chalk for at least the back 8 slots of the lottery.

The more low chance teams making a huge leap, the worse off we probably are.

Their team being that bad with 2 top 3 picks in a deep draft is pretty alarming. Especially how bad the team is defensively. I get it takes more than 2 people, but they score over 40 a night combined, you would think that in itself would make them incredibly tough to beat.
