don't see the need to knee jerk react to any hires we make, unless the Pels and Saints magically announce that they're done with Ochsner
This isn’t talked about enough. We could have the best GM and coach in the NBA, but it doesn’t matter when Oschner can’t diagnose injuries nor provide the proper medicine and rehab schedule.
Even if we win the lottery and draft Flagg, odds are he gets hurt here and becomes a 30 game a year guy.
Until Gayle realizes her multi million contributions to Oschner is wasted and fires them we are spinning our wheels.

Come on WIKFS you should know Ochsner does not deal with injury prevention, the partnership with Ochsner is not what causes injuries to the teams, it’s soft arse Head Coaches and training staff that doesn’t enforce stretching before games, and proper diet and exercise

They are absolutely awful rehabilitators and have reinjured multiple saint and hornet/pels players

Becoming the Detroit of the South, but without any promising future.

The Saints and Pels have been through multiple HC and trainers yet the injuries at highest rate in both leagues persist.
Oschner is the constant in this debacle and Payton has to fire Oschner Doctors when they misdiagnosed Delvin Breaux.
My guess is they passed Carr on his physical, Loomis restructured and now we’re stuck with damaged goods.

They don’t deal in rehab either, the teams training staff does that, in fact two years ago they hired a lady that does specifically injury rehabilitation (Amy Atmore) and that’s who is responsible for that and why you have seen guys come back from injury on time more often lately.
Nick Underhill said this years ago, Ochsner does nothing for the teams except for injury diagnoses and surgeries, and they have recently hired THE World Renowned Orthopedic Surgeon in James Andrews.
Also remember players have the right to seek second opinions with outside medical staffs if they choose

I honestly don't know what to say on the injuries. I don't think the staff had anything to do with Herb and Trey tearing up their shoulders. They can't stop Murray fracturing his wrist in his first game with the team. We all saw BI's ankle twist. I mostly just think it's a mixture of the players involved and bad luck/curse. There is no true explanation.

Last year was definitely just a freak thing, along the same lines as Memphis the year before.
Previous years where you see alot of soft tissue injuries/muscle pulls (see Williamson,Zion) it’s due to not properly stretching before games/practices. We seen that with the Saints last season where they had a rash of soft tissue injuries because the HC made stretching optional, when Rizzi took over and made it mandatory there was like a 90% reduction in them midseason.

Zion's injury history 100% is connected to his not being in shape. And in my opinion, 100% stems from a higher level organizational issue of not holding him to a higher standard.
I do NOT want to be the one defending the medical staff of course. But I have to assume they would not have Zion over 300 pounds if they were allowed to enforce their own protocols. I don't believe for one second that was in the medical things to do book.

Ochsner trotted Gayle out as guest speaker at the nursing leadership conference a month or so ago. She even joked that she was a "little short on cash" to cover the expenses of the Super Bowl and Ochnser bailed her out.
They aren't going ANYWHERE.

Are we even trying anymore?

Was the problem the front offices in Detroit and Washington or was it on ownership meddling with regards to demanding certain players / refusing to rebuild?
I’m trying not to shite talk this out of hand but Washington has had a history of front office people doing stupid shite because the ownership demanded it.
Kind of like the Nets with Billy King as GM. King was not a good GM by any means but the most outrageous shite he did like the Garnett trade and dumping a draft pick that became Dames was at the insistence of owner Prokorov to try and put a winner together for their move from New Jersey to Brooklyn.

if you trade Zion and CJ, this team will wind up top 6 in draft odds. Murray is gonna be out a while still.
You could keep both of them and potentially still end up there with our luck.
Too much money tied up in too many unavailable players. We aren’t at 76ers levels where like 90% of their salary was out (Embiid, PG13, Maxey) but we are talent deprived in a deep fricking conference.

He drafted well. Ivey, Duren, Stewart, Ausar plus some other guys. Not gonna count Cade since he was a no brainer #1 pick.
However, he built a pretty terrible roster when it was clear the team needed shooting for years
Hmmm sounds awfully familiar

The boot krewe guys said they’re hearing that much of the coaching staff will be leaving this offseason not because they’re being fired but because they don’t believe in Willie and are choosing to separate from him
