quote:

Lee Anderson, Williamson's stepfather, suggested that what Mills wrote on Twitter was inaccurate.

“All I will say this morning,” Anderson said. “Believe half of what you see and nothing you hear.”

quote:

Anderson said he didn’t want to address the online controversy involving Williamson in order to focus on the children.

“We’re not doing interviews,” Anderson said. “We are here to focus on our youth. No questions about nothing else because none of that foolishness bothers us.”

Weird that Zions step dad has to speak on his behalf and be the mouthpiece. How much longer will Zion be a child? Hes expecting a child maybe

Zion is soft. If he can’t represent himself yet then he’s still a child. It’s a joke that he’s several years into the nba and still has to be protected.

Reminds me of Jrue speaking to the media about AD’s trade request while AD sat in the background playing on his phone

As meager as it may be but in Zion's defense, his dad acting as his mouthpiece is nothing more than his dad acting like his PR guy.

One can argue whether or not his dad should be the one speaking on his behalf, but this is no different than any other celebrity having a press release from a hired PR person or lawyer.

The best thing for Zion is to probably not be the one speaking on anything because he is likely to say something that will cause more scrutiny.

His step-dad needs to have enough sense to encourage him to hire a PR person to help clean up this mess.

Nothing good can come out of Zion or their camp speaking out about this. It's best to leave it alone and keep quiet.

No amount of PR can spin this. People will forget and move to something else by the time the season rolls on by.

Zion did speak.

Zion did the right thing here, his step-dad did not.

That was not the time or place to make any comments whatsoever on that stuff.

He did the most grown up thing here, and you're bashing him for it.

grow up and talk about the IG girls that are fighting about you at an event for children. Yea, that's the ticket.

Zion did the grown up thing today. His step-dad did the childish thing today.

What some posters seem to wish happened today ...

ZION WILLIAMSON, addressing the youth at today's event: "I just want to tell these bitches to STFU. I'm gonna f*ck whoever I damn well please, and the line is a mile long, so hoes, if you want a piece of this, my DMs are open."

Even more weird that the guy with the most to lose out of this says “there’s nothing to see here.”

Seems like a legit source to me. Unbiased and credible

Zion's agent needs to sit him down and have a real business conversation, man-to-man.

End it with a stay in school kids and I'm good to go.

Zion would probably be on my 600 pound life and collecting disability checks without his stepfather in the picture.
