There are a lot of similarities between Hurts and Milroe. I do understand that Milroe is way behind Hurts throwing the ball. But it would be pretty simple to adapt the Eagles offense with a Milroe type athlete at QB.

If you could somehow get Tyler Warren at 9 and then pickup Milroe at 40, that would give you a pretty formidable attack with Kamara, Olave, Shaheed, and Warren, if you had to worry about Milroe keeping the ball and breaking the pocket. Not to mention the Brotherly Shove would be unstoppable.

I know there are probably more important holes to fill, but CB, DT, Edge, OT could be addressed also in the draft.

I was thinking about this. There was too much smoke about us wanting Dart.

I'm with you. I think everyone else is the smokescreen for the saints to snag in the 2nd.

Warren, if gone then best o lineman, at 9
If warren at 9 then they trading back into late first for Kelvin Banks. Somewhere in the 16 to 24 range
Milroe at 40

St Aug on this board has been pumping Milroe big time.

I’ve come around some.

You get him in the 2nd or 3rd.
He could be coachable to be like Hurts
If he fails at QB, then make him our Taysom Hill and have him switch positions to a gadget player.

ETA: it sounds great on paper.

There’s not. I wish you would try looking at some stats on the two before saying this.

I sure hope not. They played at bama. One was tough as nails and got better. One was scared of contact and got worse. Milroe sucks. No way he gets to Hurts level.

In that scenario, they wouldn't have the 40th pick anymore to select him, since it would be part of the package to jump back into the 1st.

Unless you're hoping they package high picks from next year's draft to move back into the 1st this year, which would be retarded based on the results from the '18 and '22 drafts.

WHat is the damn fascination people have of the acceptance of a selection based on a predetermined value which nobody actually knows

This NFL exec description is pretty accurate
quote:

"This is the fastest guy on the goddamn field," an AFC executive said, via NFL.com. "He was outrunning angles. He's just so f---ing erratic. He's a smart enough kid, but not a fast processor. He's into all these f---ing mental coaches. Has to see it open. Doesn't have anticipation. He's the typical big, rifle-armed f---er who throws everything f---ing hard and fast and will throw a good pass and then the next five, you don't know where the f--- they're going to end up."

Hurts improved some in 2018 at Bama and improved even more at OU. He also ended up in a perfect situation. The Eagles did a great job of developing him further and he played with good to great (ESPECIALLY the OL) supporting cast every year with them.

Milroe regressed and is raw as frick. I don't think the Saints are equipped to do that development if it is possible for him. He has a really hard time shaking mistakes and sticks to bad habits. So if you throw him out there with a not elite OL and receving room he will make a few mistakes that will likely snowball

It would be a lot easier to “adapt the Eagles’ offense” if we had Saquan Barkley…
