Maybe he's good again!

ETA: I use "good again" real loosely

Only way I wouldn't melt is if we got him in round 3 or later to be Taysom 2.0

When he finally hangs it up, maybe you guys will realize just how rare his skill set and ability were.

I don’t see milroe being Taysom 2.0 at all.

I doubt he would want to do it but he'd be a helluva RB.

He’s much faster compared to Hurts but that’s it. He rarely juked players or weaved around traffic. He runs very stiff. Hurts is a tougher runner and has better footwork and field vision

He also sucked at avoiding pressure in the backfield. You would expect a running QB to do better a job of that but once again his field vision and lateral mobility isn’t great so he has a harder time making guys miss in the backfield

In other words people way over estimate his athleticism. He’s really just fast and average at best at every other attribute relating to running. So no he can’t be Taysom Hill 2.0. Especially since he insists on being a pass first QB (ignored multiple open running lanes bc of it)

He wouldn’t take that role ever. That’s why he probably won’t stay in the league as long as Taysom. He doesn’t throw the ball anywhere near as good as he needs to.

I like Milroe and his running skills. And just plus physical skills everywhere. If he falls and you think he can improve his throwing maybe take a flyer. I think he has the higher ceiling of the pack.

Better runner but I don’t see him making the same kinds of passing strides Hurts did. Dude was a maniacal worker.

He’s gonna make a great gadget player for somebody. But he’s far from ever being a pro passer.

He is complete dogshit as a passer. Guys like Jayden and Lamar Jackson are so good because they were a threat with their arms as much as their legs. Milroe is not an NFL QB and he really wasn’t a college QB. He’s been a RB that throws it sometimes and with terrible accuracy or decision making.

That’s awesome. Makes you wonder how in the world he could even have an impressive workout for the saints then. Glad you think you have it all figured out by the laziest of takes of what you think is the assumed case

It’s the offseason before the draft, teams lie about players to the media all the time to keep the scent off their true guy they like. It’s like a game. Sure, maybe he had a good workout in gym shorts and no pads I bet he’s fast as hell and can launch the ball down the field. It’s a completely different thing when there’s a good defense opposing you and Milroe has proven time and time again his deficiencies in the pass game. The big games he wins are usually because of his feet and no matter how good of a runner you are, in the NFL you still have to think pass first or you won’t have a long career. What are you seeing in him as a QB that just about everyone not a gump fan can’t see?

Milroe has flaws. Sure but he has huge athletic tools if designed correctly and a humble work ethic with the right coaching. You are dismissing the character of the human.
