I’d take either one.
Emery Jones may actually project as a guard.

Taylor won't make it to 71 imo

Both are good fits. Don’t think Taylor will be there though.

Adding Jones would excite me.
That would solidify the Oline for a few years and make the transition to a young QB easy.

Jones will be available in the 4th, maybe the 5th. Huge reach in the 3rd. Frazier with pick 93 is more of a possibility.

After his freshman season, Jones was projected as a first rounder.
I’d be shocked if he made it to the 4th.
Dude will be a starting player immediately.

Taylor may not even make it to 40
Very curious to see what we do today. Would love a CB or WR but WR depth in this draft is solid and could wait till 3rd or 4th. Not sure about the CB market but that usually dries up quick.

Taylor is going in the 2nd, jones late third if I had to guess.

Taylor is going to be a star in the league. Saints would be fools not to draft Mason.

Taylor is an interesting prospect.
He catches everything and makes it look effortless. However, despite being a good athlete for his size, he wants nothing to do with contact after the catch. More often than not, when a defender is in the area for a tackle he's getting down or getting out of bounds ASAP. He's not looking to break tackles or try to make people miss. He's catching the ball. Getting what he can. Then getting down. That means he's probably never going to be an explosive playmaker like Brock Bowers can be. But he will be a reliable chain mover

Per ESPN, Jones is the 13th ranked OT, ranked 143 overall.
NFL network, Jones is the 7th ranked G, Frazier is 8th.
Guess it just depends on what position. Obviously if the Saints draft him, its to play guard. But does he want to play the position or prefers to be a RT.

Taylor is pretty soft. But god damn is he smooth and athletic.

I’d take Taylor over Jones if he is still around. But I wanted the Penn State TE in round one. I am not a true believer in what we have but think that if you get it right, TE can be an incredible to an offense.
No knock at Jones and would be fine with coming in to play G.

He’s a decent blocker but is terrible with YAC. He avoids contact consistently

He’ll play wherever the frick the team that takes him wants him to. It doesn’t matter what position he “prefers.” I’d imagine he prefers to go as high as possible. It’s not like the baseball draft. He has no leverage. He’s not gonna tell his agent to tell teams not to draft him in the 3rd if their plan is to play him at guard. He prefers to play RT and is willing to wait till the 5th round when a team is ready to take him as a tackle. That’s absurd.

Mason Tayler will be drafted by the middle of the 2nd.
