Is Loomis just hoping to force Carr into retirement?

Will this be the worst oline we have ever fielded? I liked the Carr signing at first, but after seeing him hold the ball for eons then get frustrated like a 4 year old, I no longer know what to think.

I hope I’m wrong, but if the line hasn’t improved, I don’t see him playing more than 9 games this season.

You're giving Loomis too much credit. It would mean he'd have to have a plan, and if he had a plan, he would not have signed Carr in the first place.

With our current OL Depth Chart, I think he is hoping Carr gets a career ending injury.

By default, Carr will already miss 2/3 games this season.

I know we drafted an Olineman…just not sure why we are starting two guys who are borderline practice squad players.

I’m kinda hoping Carr forces Loomis into retirement.

1st week of Training Camp, pretty sure there isn't anyone on the o-line written in as the starters except for McCoy & Ruiz.

How could anyone know this? New o-line coach, new offensive scheme, another 1st round pick devoted to the o-line. If Fuaga & Penning both end up starting, the team would have invested 3 1st rounders, 1 2nd rounder & 1 4th rounder in the starting oline. Plus with being consistently over the cap; what more did you expect from them?

The OL can’t do anything about late hits or cheap shot hits to Carr’s grill.

Only the refs with the competition committee’s “points of emphasis” to protect players like Carr can save him from a CTE retirement.

Carr took too many illegal hits to start last season. As complaints and his injuries mounted, the NFL seemed more capable of protecting him as the season progressed.

QB to a new team and system generally doesn't bode well. This year everyone is learning together in a more QB friendly offense (we hope) so maybe we'll get to see good Derek Carr, and not whatever version we got last year.

Dude he had a plan. It depended on DA and Pete. It's now as simple as DA's last stand.

I like your optimism, but its really just that Loomis isn't very good

Then people would have complained that we are cheap and don't want to win and don't care blah blah blah. Can't please everyone you play to win not to tank.

You really think there was some kind of agenda with the NFL against Carr last season?

Maybe we just had a shite OL and a pretty mediocre quarterback rather than some secret NFL agenda lol

To consistently win you need to responsibly build a franchise though.

Methinks Loomis will retire before Carr.

Carr is not walking away from contract money.
