LOL. Wake me up when he actually plays in a game.
Dude has been stealing money since he was drafted.
Pathetic waste of space.

What will be interesting is if he balls out this year what do you do? Try a small extension to see more? Franchise him? Let him walk? Trade him mid season if he refuses extension?

Franchise him?

I was just laying out all the options? that I could think of for the FO

So Chalk what would you do if he balls out like a 1st round DE should, 8+ sacks and plays most of the games in his last contract year?

I'd probably give him another 1 yr deal.

Franchising players is for the elite guys.

Yup. And if he doesn't appreciate the teams incredible 3 years of support and patience by not taking a extension trade his arse to Vegas before the deadline.

They’re saying Turner’s toe injury is similar to the one from last year. Wasn’t he out for basically the whole season last year?

Hes becoming another Davenport.

He’s the Dollar store Davenport. Through three years Davenport had 12 sacks and played in 37 games while missing 12. Turner has played in 15 games total with a whopping 3 whole sacks. This guy has managed to be a much bigger bust than Davenport was

Best part about Turner this year is that we have guys to rotate in so his odds of getting hurt may be less.

I love our DL outside of a big run stuffing DT. We are pretty deep.

You think 8 sacks and most of the games is what we should expect from a 1st rounder that we traded up for?! You cant be serious.

I was just setting up a possible situation Karen.
And you miss quoted. I said 8 plus. But if you don't have a intelligent response to this made-up scenario make your own. Or don't. Who cares.

Ouuu somebody's in their feelings this morning. I didn't misquote shite. You are correct, you did say 8+ which means that only 8 is acceptable. Thats some 3rd round pass rush specialist numbers. 1st round DE should have minimum 10 sacks, though I'd like to see somewhere closer to 12-15.

The intelligence (or lack thereof in your post) is the fact you think those are acceptable numbers for a 1st rounder. Seems the Turner and Dav picks have made a lot of fans forget what a real DE should produce.

And since you are so insistent on an answer to your question, I'll say that HELL NO we shouldn't pay him 1st round money to re-sign after a year in which he totals 8 sacks and plays in 9 games (which is 1 more than half, i.e. most). I'd go a year prove it, then (with repeated results and health) he'd maybe get a deal like Granderson. Mid tier DE contract for producing mid-tier results. Period

Everything you said about my post and opinions are wrong Karen. Are you just post generating? Lots of top pass rushers get 8+ sacks lol. Change it to 15+ if you like. That doesn't change anything about the scenario I laid out. Also no one here or probably in the FO would pay him top money on a 2nd contract. But if that's your only answer good for you.

You're a funny little skidmark ...I love how you call me Karen while melting over your shitty stat goals. That's gold.
