Draft is less than a week away. Believe half of what you see and none of what you read or hear.

Great let’s have the entire world know what our draft strategy is.

Yeah I think 95% of what’s coming out of these guys is speculation at this point and their version of fan fiction.

Sounds like speculation on Nick’s part. A lot of “I think”.

Probably went more like this:

Loomis: “Nick, make a video on X saying that we’re not looking QB at the ninth pick.”

Nick: “Sure, boss.”

Of course that may be giving Loomis too much credit.

they should be throwing out how much they like Jeantry. Try and get Dallas or Chicago to move up.

I think after everyone in the world was going on and on about how the Saints are going QB at 9 and the Panthers are openly calling for trades at 8 to get ahead of them, they are letting everyone know they don’t like these QBs that much.

Pretty obvious draft smoke this time of year

The qb crap was a smokescreen.

Hard to fault that logic. But I think if the QBs available at 9 do not look to be much better than what you already have in Rattler (and I am not sure either Sanders or Dart are anything more than a marginal upgrade at best), passing on them there is the right move.

What does this get us? Whether Dallas or Chicago moves up and take him or Oakland or someone else takes him, he’s highly likely to be gone before our pick.

I agree with this. I say give Rattler this year and reevaluate with what appears to be a much better QB class next year. Sign a veteran after you drop that loser Carr.

I hope in the 7th round because it would be a wasted pick anyway.

Doubt it was a smokescreen. Saints really do not put out a lot of smoke. It was more of the media deducing that a team with a diva QB who wants $40 million to sit on his arse and only a second year 5th round QB behind him would certainly draft a QB. However, the Saints may have decided that they will just find a veteran off the scrap heap to start next season.

Soooo, the Saints are trading up so as to get Sanders or possibly Ward.
