Underhill most people agree has pretty good pulse on the team. Well…

I know it’s an insider article so, spoiler alert:

Josh Conerly Jr, OT, Oregon

Ascending player that got better as the year went on. Currently projected mid to late 1st, early 2nd.

I just don't think we're as desperate for OT as we were last year. This is a desperate pick.

Don’t mind the player, just think 9 is bit too high for him. We haven’t picked in the top 10 in years. We need a player who has all pro potential I feel.

All depends on who is available. It’s pretty thin at the top in this draft. I’m certainly not going to bitch I’d they take him over membou or another tackle.

I just don’t want them trying to fill holes. We have so many of them I just want them going with BPA.

Well with no historical record of head coach Kellen Moores draft philosophy I guess that's as good a guess as any.

Agreed. If we go this route then trade down and get the extra picks.

By whom? Y’all get caught up on where one guy has a player ranked and think that is gospel.

The Saints will draft who they want where they want.

Yup and it’s worked out great with the picks they reached for the last few years.

I know the Saints must like Connerly and they’ve done a lot of homework on him, but my only question would be why him over banks if they go OL

I do not. I have consistently said the amateur draftniks mean nothing and if a team likes a player then they should take him.

Its information for the board, that is it

3 OTs in the first round in 4 years would have to be some sort of record

Our best chance to trade down is if jeanty or graham falls …. But idk there was a report that 7 or 8 teams were interested in trading down … if that’s the case it maybe a draft the guy you believe in type of early mid first round

Many think banks is a guard

The entire board melted when we reached for Payton Turner that year. How’d that turn out. I had a melt down when we passed on Branch to pick Fosky. Lots of amateurs know more than the professionals.

That's cool. The Saints were wrong.

They should also take a guy if they want him, and live with the consequences.

All of the "slotting" and "we should trade down if we want that guy" is pretty much nonsense.

No one knows how other teams have a guy rated

i guess it would just be nice to know what the immediate plan is if they go that route. They think they moving fuaga to LG? RT? Penning to LG? Let Conerly sit a year developing?

This would be a really bad pick. He’s a fringe 2nd round guy.

You can see where he came from. Philly is all about building from the trenches out so a lineman wouldn't surprise me at all.

Their optimal OL likely involves Fuaga moving back to RT and finding a true LT. Penning can backup both and/or try his hand inside. Don’t believe he’s in the long term plans

Who? Only one I have seen to say that definitively is Brugler.
