No guarantee next years QB class will be elite… a lot of the top guys being propped in 2026 are projection over production at this stage.

Mahomes would have been with the Saints if Buffalo does not make that trade. They literally screwed themselves by giving the Chiefs ability to draft Mahomes.
Lamar is good but he is overrated. He performs horrible in the playoffs. If Saints had a pick in the 20s, Dart would be good pick. Not at 9 tho.

Im fine with that as long as the roster and the cap situation is getting better. It's not like this is the last year the Saints can get a QB, but if the Saints had drafted a QB this year, they would still be average at best.

They could only trade down if they have someone to trade with. It seems like no teams were willing to trade up. Everyone knew the Saints need a QB, so the Saints had no leverage at all.
