I don’t expect too much anymore.
I just enjoy the occasional unexpected victory. Sad.
Based on the little I’ve seen from camp and the overall attitude, I think this season could be a little better than anticipated. I’m curious about the
Kubiak effect.

Apathy
I can’t stand Dennis Allen but more than that, I fricking loathe Loomis. We aren’t going anywhere as a franchise until it gets stripped down to the bolts. Don’t know if Gayle has the balls to do it.

This is where I’m at
I’ll never forget sitting and just staring at the TV after that shite went down, knowing that the nfl would NEVER be the same for me again.
And if I’m being honest, I didn’t think I’d fall out of love with it so much, so fast, but here I am. I used to know the saints whole two deep lineup, along with the majority of the nfl’s rosters, but now, I barely follow enough to keep up with just the saints roster, much less fantasy football… it sucks man.
Maybe the saints being mediocre for this long has me feeling like this, but I don’t know… the nfl ruined the nfl for me

That actually shocked me to the extreme, but I thought "you know...they sometimes swallow those...so you know what...whatever".
The PI & roughing the passer in OT was the nail in the coffin where I said well, that's just straight up incompetence and favortism. one we aren't getting again this lifetime.

This what you get with Dennis Allen and Carr.
Not good enough to compete nor bad enough to tank.
Welcome to purgatory

Because some dumb arse in the front office decided to have camp in California instead of trying to have it locally at the Saints facility or try a regional spot like Thibodaux or Hammond.
Heck if they really wanted a cooler place to practice Nicholls has that new covered practice football field that could easily be converted into an air conditioned space with vinyl sheets and temporary air conditioners.

The Saints have their own AC indoor facility. Might not need one made of duct tape.

But team cafeteria is under construction, and the coaching staff wanted a bonding experience. LOL

Wrong. This board sucks and Im excited for next year. The lack of any enthusiam from this board is mind numbing.
The Saints Karens have made it impossible for any poster to post any positive posts about the saints.
Defense should return to top 10, dline and lb core improved, abd running game should be better, and Carr should also be better.
Add that to a 9-8 team on the verge of the playoffs and we should be expecting improvement to the tune of a 10-7/11-6 type playoff season.
Additionally we have Olave, Rahid, a bunch of playmakers, and highly drafted oline talent.
We have the type of fan base that tells you that Tyran Mathieu is trash, meanwhile he was graded by pff with the top/no.1 safety in coverage grade and 10th best overall in 2023.
The scouting on this board is pathetic.

Some of that is spot on but...
DA is a low energy coach with no proven track record.
Try scouting the oline. 5 weeks till season starts and we don't know yet who starts in two oline positions and a rookie at LT. No #1 TE and a new first year OC.
There has not been so many "ifs" since the 04-05 season.

Yep, same place I have been at for quite a while now. At one time ESPN stayed on. Now I don't even go to it anymore. I don't watch MLB, NBA and barely the NFL anymore, including the Saints. I was the biggest NFL fan from the time I first remember watching it. Probably around 8 years old. I remember drawing every teams helmet by memory. Writing letters to teams and mailing them asking for anything team related that they could send me. Most would send something back. I'm now 58 years old. It's truly sad that I have lost interest to this level.
Maybe I'll come back but I agree, the NFL and Roger Goodell ruined the NFL for me. That no call against the Rams really broke me!

Because we fixing to suck. To me the best thing that can happen is Carr get knocked out and Rattler play a ton this year and show flashes but we still lose games and get a great draft pick and then fire DA. Then the rebuild can start.
Posted on 8/6/24 at 9:35 pm to tigerbait3488
We have the worst owner and front office in the league and probably the worst coach…. There is nothing to be excited about here.

Actually, he has a proven track record of losing.
