"We recently began testing a new feature called UPS Follow My Delivery which allows you to follow the status of your most urgent packages via a live map. As a UPS My Choice member you will be one of the first customers to experience this feature.
Here's How It Works:
- When you receive a premium package with a time commitment, such as UPS Next Day Air®, an email alert will be sent which will include a UPS Follow My Delivery link.
- Click the link to view the live map which will display your package and delivery location."

I can see some goofballs (especially around Christmas) chasing down the poor UPS guy to try to get their package from them.

"Your package is currently bouncing around in the back of Reginald's truck."
"Mike just threw your package on your porch from the walkway."

Considering I have an ac unit on the way today. I'd track down the driver if I was off work.

I can just see people showing up while the driver is at lunch looking for their package when they see that the truck is parked at a McDonalds.

Tracking to see when he arrives is one thing but I would imagine it would be a issue if people start meeting the drivers at other locations.
"Hey, it's me TOM, from 4th street. Can I just take my package now?"

They're also going to be pissed when they see the truck not heading straight to them even when they were around the corner a few minutes before.

they should put on the map "We only take right turns"

I worked for DHL during the summers when they were still a domestic shipping carrier. Mainly in the warehouse, but would fill in on a route that was over-loaded or for a driver that was out. Even then people would come find me and ask about packages.

There is a small shipping company out of New Mexico called upex. I'm not sure if that was the joke.
I figured you'd at least go with FedUp.
