Anybody have experience in LSU's MBA program?

I'll be starting a new job within the next couple of weeks. My new schedule will allow me time to attend an MBA program in the Fall. Because of the area that I am in, LSU and UL-L are my only two options with UL-L being slightly closer.
Both schedules would require me to travel 2 evenings per week to attend class (I prefer not to go online). UL is about an hour drive and LSU would be about 1.5 hours, so the difference there is really negligible. Cost isn't as much of as a concern as school ranking and networking opportunities. LSU holds the lead in both categories by a wide margin, so I believe it's the option i'd like to most consider.
Has anyone attended LSU's MBA program (or ULL for information purposes) or has any information about it that may be helpful?

Did my undergrad in Connecticut.
The industry i've worked in for the past several years has been Solar/Renewable Energy.

LSU at least has a ranking. Pick that one

Check into the LSUS MBA program.
I had a great talk with one of the recruiters there last month. All online and it's not expensive.

LSU's is really solid. It's one of the few programs at LSU that has really good leadership and people without their head up their arse running it. I didn't take it, but I know of people who did and I knew quite a few of the MBA professors and most of them were way better than the shite they have in undergrad.
I would 100% go LSU over ULL.

UAB has a distance MBA if you are looking for something different.
ETA:
AU has a good one too.

Thanks for the info but I prefer to not go online. A large reason for this is simply for the networking opportunities (which is honestly at least 50% the value of getting an MBA)
Might sound snobby but having a degree that says "LSU" goes further in this state that one with "S", "A", "E", or another letter at the end of it; whether that's justified or not.

It would be best to do a MBA program in class and not online. You learn more from it.
Here you go though for best online MBA programs

Yes and no on the networking. You will be in groups, and most work will be outside of the class room anyway. You can skype in from any location.
ETA:
I am 25% into my MBA. And I have taken both in class and online courses.

Everyone I know who did LSU MBA said they basically throw employers at you. If you want a job or connection, you'll get one.

I'd go after the Executive or Professional MBA. Your job opportunities would then be limitless

I hear ya. Was just an option as cost and time in class are sometimes a consideration.

That's what I've been told. Like what the OP said, most of the value of an MBA is the networking. LSU MBA has solid leadership who apparently do a solid job connecting students with employers.

Although I plan to stay in the new role i'll be taking for quite some time, a vast network is always a good problem to have. Never know what will happen with cuts and new legislation regarding certain industries.

LSU's Professional/Executive MBA programs have meals provided for you so twice a week you're networking with both classes. Your group work is done both in the classroom and outside of it. Support staff for both is top notch.

I'm actually reading about the Executive MBA option right now. Looks really solid.
