Seems like they’ve pissed the sharks off.

I wonder if the Orca presence in the gulf has pushed more sharks toward the shore. There were 3 attacks yesterday near Destin.

The Times Picayune had photos of one off the coast of Venice about 30-40 years ago I recall.

It’s so obvious that they’re Orcas because of the theme music. You hear that music, look the hell out!

Glad to see they’re enjoying their vacation down south.

I've heard tales of them out there and even seen pictures that claimed to be in the Gulf. I've never personally seen them.

A fishing buddy of mine told me he saw one when we were on a trip together. But when they surfaced again, they were far enough away that they just looked like dolphins to me.

Good thing they circled them in the pics.

Here’s a species you didn’t expect to hear about in the Gulf of Mexico. While killer whales are often talked about in colder climates, they can be found worldwide including a very, very small population in the Gulf of Mexico. A 2012 NOAA stock assessment estimated the population was about 28 whales, minimum 14. Every now and again, a new video of orcas in the Gulf will make the rounds in the news and online.

Nope. Saw false killers several times, but never true orcas.

I've seen a lot of fat chicks, but the only thing they ever killed is some dude's pride.

This actually might not be far off. They have probably pushed the sharks toward the beach.
