I only live a few miles from Wrights and have eaten there frequently, It has a great BBQ, but I don't know if I would call it the best in the country.
The last time we went there, Brisket was $40 a pound, I haven't been back since.

Is this ranking with or without the normal Yelp frickery?

Gonzo's in Luling destroys #1 on that list.

I heard they have beef with the other bbq places.

I’m good buddies with Jordan. I’ve eaten bbq in just about every state and their brisket is the best I’ve ever had. Turkey is no joke.

You usually have to pay extra for that kind of action

More filters or hours on the pit?
I know their stuff is quality, but those pictures are absurd.

That is what the reviews from Yelp said.
It also said last year that Nick's Catfish and BBQ was the best BBQ in Arkansas which isn't true as it was mediocre when I visited.

I mean, what did you expect? It's $30-40 typically

I can tell you that list is B.S. when they don't have the best BBQ place in Texas on it.
Snow's BBQ in Lexington Texas is the ultimate BBQ.

I thought it was just ok, small portions, and overpriced, but maybe I was just in a bad mood.

Never eaten at wrights, probably tasty but looks a little slick with the prepackaged little sauce containers etc.

All of the best places use prime brisket and it’s expensive AF these days.

Tootsie only cooks on Saturdays, so plan accordingly.

List is so far from legit it's insane. I never ate at most of those joints but when the top places in Texas are nowhere near it? GTFO.
