One of the other wrestlers saw Andre and a woman one night because the curtains were left open. The description was that it looked like “a lion mauling a puppy”.

Andre was legendary for drinking. Part of that was, if you drank with Andre, you couldn't pay. He knew that no matter what, he drank so much that your contributions to the tab would be a rounding error (ditto for eating.)

Arnold tried to play Mr. Big Shot once and Andre caught him. Arnold secretly paid the bill. Andre picked him up (as one would a toddler) and put him on top of a car outside the restaurant as punishment.

Arnold is OT short, 6'-2".

That was mainly when he was in Japan, where people tended to be much smaller than average to begin with.

Guys who were big but not Andre’s size, like Bruiser Brody, would piss and moan about their accommodations when touring outside of the larger cities like Tokyo. Andre had it far worse.


There are also a lot of stories about Andre getting so plowed he would fall asleep in the lobby of the hotel.

One story claimed they put a piano cover over him. Another from when he was filming Princess Bride was that the hotel staff just put security cones around him to keep people out of the area until he woke up.

How tall is Hart, 4’5”?

I saw Arnold once in person and he really isn’t that tall at all…he didn’t seem very imposing in person. Not saying wilt or Andre isn’t tall though, I was just expecting Arnold to be bigger.
