Before you spend all your money, realize that most of the legal divorce process in Louisiana is fairly cut and dry. You can find child support calculators online.
Your only advantage w spending more money is that some lawyers are better negotiators when it comes to property settlement.
Also, most lawyers will "upsell" by stirring up extra arguments in order to get you to spend more. I got to the point where I was constantly asking myself "is that really worth paying to argue over."

its really best for yall to settle this between yourselves and hire a lawyer to write it up and file the paperwork. Youre only going to lose money if yall make this competitive. My divorce cost a little over $1000.

ETA: Sources tell Unfiltered with Kiran a man shot and killed a woman he was allegedly having an affair with and then turned the gun on himself. Sources added the woman may have been pregnant with his baby. After an argument, she threatened to tell his wife everything when the incident unfolded.
