Blink vs Ring vs ADT vs Simplisafe/other who do you use for security cameras at your home

Currently using Ring fory doorbells but Amazon Deal for their most recent Prime Day had Blink cameras at a great price. So I pulled the plug and picked up 4 outdoor cameras to install. Are they worth it or should I look into someone else and return the Blink ones?

I use Lorex from Best Buy. Been using them since May 2020 and I installed them myself. 4K cameras, POE, and can see them on a main screen or on a phone app. No problems.

I have a ring doorbell so I have added 3 more ring cameras. They work great and I like having it all in one app.

I use blink. The quality isn't great, but the price is reasonable, and I'm not trying to read recipes off them or anything.

Have ring at home, Eufy at our barndo. The solar powered Eufy's are awesome. I use the 60# magnetic camera bases and stick them wherever I want that gets me a good signal back to the home base.
Checking right now, my pond/sunset camera has been in service for 58 days and the battery is at 98%. I've got one in the garage that gets very little direct sunlight that is at 80% The other one that gets plenty of sun is at 99% after 101 days.
The home base can be hidden in the house and this is where your pics and vid are stored when you use the app. Using screen mirroring on the big screen in town we've seen bass leap out of the water in our pond.

Replaced some ring cams and zmodo brand with some Blinks. All of those at that level leave something to be desired. They miss more than you think.

Never needed one as you have to go through dogs to get to our house.
I did have to use a trail cam in the back of our mail box to catch a retarded sex offender that was stealing our mail. It sounds made up...but unfortunately it isn't.
50 something year old mentally disabled guy was waiting by our mail box to hand my wife our mail. Took a day off work to confront him and tell him to stop after I found out his sex offender status. Apparently he was so angry that I told him to stop that he started stealing our mail.
Trail cam worked perfect. Hasn't been an issue since a deputy confronted him with photos.

Ditch them all, use the money saved to move to an area where you don't need them

Solid advise but you can have issues anywhere. I live were there are more cows than people and still had to deal with a sex offender stalking my wife.

Do you or other posters using Ring cams or Echo devices turn Amazon Sidewalk off?

Then you need a bullet not a camera

I agree but it was an akward situation. Dudes mentally deficient. My instinct was to beat his arse but I didn't want to wind up in the clink for battery against a mental.
When I confronted him it was like talking to a scared child. Then our mail starts going missing. My son mailed us a box of dog turds and sure enough...it went missing lol. Camera worked perfect and got the desired results.

I use a Lorex POE and DVR for most of the house and ADT doorbell cam that integrates with my ADT system and the rest of my hub controlled lights, garage door openers, etc. I like to limit the apps I use so I went with the adt to keep from having an extra app.

I use blink. Theyre fine. My wife thinks if they turn off for 10 minutes while we are not home there will be hoards of looters tearing apart the house.

I have a Ring doorbell and chime still in the box needing installation I don’t have a ladder tall enough to reach the currently installed chime. Probably gonna hire a handyman since even though it’s a simple matter I specifically don’t need to be climbing 10’ up the wall with my med/back stuff.
Only reason to even have one in this quiet neighborhood full of cops (at least 6 , maybe up to 10 on just 3 streets) , the solid front door doesn’t have a peep hole and is recessed such that can’t see doorway from a window.

I tried a system called Cove. They have wireless sensors and integrate with Eufy cameras as they sell those with the system. The outdoor camera are completely wireless, they have a built in solar cell for power and connect via WiFi.
The panels that come with the system now also login to your cameras. They actually look like a mini tablet.
