Body found in Mid-City ID’d as missing radiologist

The New Orleans coroner has identified a body found earlier this month in Mid-City as radiologist Paul Rodrigue, who had been reported missing.

New Orleans police initially reported Rodrigue, 43, went missing on the evening of March 29 from the 300 block of North Norman C. Francis Boulevard. They later reported that he was active on March 31.

A week later, at around 11:25 a.m. April 7, NOPD investigated an unclassified death after a decomposed man was found in the 200 block of North Rendon Street.

The New Orleans coroner on Wednesday confirmed the person was Rodrigue and said his cause of death was still under investigation.

Rodrigue was a radiologist at the New Orleans VA Medical Center.
