Absolutely - make sure to check labels on food products. Mistakenly bought pickled Jalapenos from India and canned vegetables from China. You do not want to eat anything from these countries.

Not really. No one else is making the stuff they make that we use to make our stuff and won’t be any time soon. So, full collapse of what little manufacturing we have? The cost of products is about to skyrocket. You’re not going to like it nor will it go away anytime soon without a deal with China. They need us but we definitely need them while we build a better manufacturing base here. That will take decades. Also, anything we build here will be super expensive comparatively. Other countries will take business from China but they will also need to build plants. China will just open plants in those countries and run the plants from China. This trade war with China needs to be a short term. I’d imagine a deal is cut within the next couple of weeks….probably already has happened. ;)
