Has anyone every agreed to convert religions in order to marry their significate other?

GF wants to get married at a Jewish synagogue but growing up Southern Baptist and Methodist seems like a big stretch. This is extremely important to her and her family.

Thoughts.

Get married at the synagogue doesn't equate to conversion.

ETA: For the people that do convert, well, the way I see it, their religious preference wasn't too important to them.

It seems like throwing your beliefs away to get married means you really didn’t believe in the first place. I’d do it though if she’s hot.

Judaism is passed down matrilineally. You're either gonna convert or you're not marrying her

Is she a practicing jew or does she just want to get married there?

Do you believe the Jewish faith? That’s kind of a big factor.

I wouldn't do it. My parents are 2 different religions so I don't think it should be that big of a deal but personally I would not change my religion to marry someone. That's how she establishes control for the marriage period.

Do you love her more than your love of your Christian heritage? If y’all plan on having children, how do y’all plan on raising them? Most importantly, will the wedding be during an LSU football game?
