(CNN)Dave Chappelle is back in some familiar hot water.

The comic has drawn backlash for some of his comments in his latest Netflix comedy special, "The Closer."

During the special, which debuted Tuesday, Chappelle says "Gender is a fact. Every human being in this room, every human being on earth, had to pass through the legs of a woman to be on earth. That is a fact."

quote:

He then goes on to make explicit jokes about the bodies of trans women.

Chappelle caused ire in 2019 after making jokes about Caitlyn Jenner in his "Equanimity" special. His jokes about the trans community in his "Sticks and Stones" special the following year also evoked anger.

Chappelle references those past controversies in his newest set.

Actress and director Taylor Ashbrook tweeted her disappointment Tuesday.

quote:

"As a trans woman, I have usually defended Dave Chappelle's specials because I think they're hilarious and his jokes about trans women never felt intentionally malicious," she wrote. "The Closer changed my mind on that. That special felt so lazy and disingenuous and I'm really disappointed."

CNN has reached out to reps for Chappelle for comment

Chappelle was already not in good standings with the trannies before his last special.. Then he had that joke when he called all those people "the alphabet people" and he took some heat for that and now.. According to them, trannies have lost all respect for him.

But the funny thing is, he is actually saying shite that is true. Like "gender is a fact". In other words, its fricking stupid to have all of these options people can pick from when it comes to what sex they are.

I really do think its to a point where being homophobic (or even perceived as homophobic) is worse than being racist.

People can come back from saying the N word. Morgon Wallen is a good example.. He just called one of his friends a bitch arse nword with an a and he went meet with some pastor, went to some civil rights museum.

On the morning news when it happened, I remember one of the black women on the news said something like "I like Morgon's music and he didn't mean it in a mean spirited way, I hope people will let him put it past him".

But boy if you make a homophobic comment.. Like Kevin Hart.. When he was going to host one of those award shows, but it was made public that years earlier he made a homophobic comment, it being a joke didn't matter. He said he saw his son playing with his daughter's pink castle and he made him stop because he didn't want him to turn gay and that infuriated the gays.

This summer Kelly In Vegas got a job with ESPN. The day before her first day they told her they were voiding her contract because in 2012 she called some dude a fig. Why are the gays so protected?

Why do you post in such a way that even if someone agrees with your premise, they still despise you?

Amazing world we have created, haven't we?

You have to worry about being canceled for stating facts, and the people who cancel you will call you a Nazi.

The people that are "oppressed" can't be made fun of, or you will be canceled.

Way to go, Democrat voters!

Pretty sure Chappelle has “frick you” money and he’s already walked away from even more money when he isn’t happy with the situation.

They can try cancelling him but I don’t see him bending and I think Netflix makes enough off him they’ll ignore it.

Dave Chappelle is undefeated.

He's been poking fun at the letter community for years now and nothing they say can or will have an effect.

And I love it.

I watched his new special last night, and it definitely is pretty lazy at times (lots of easy/low-hanging fruit type jokes). Also, he sort of tried to make a truce with the LBFGT community as well, as opposed to going hard on them nonstop like he normally does. I was actually a little disappointed that he seemed to cave a little on that.

All in all, it's an enjoyable special, but definitely not his best and kinda disappointing. But I like just listening to Dave tell stories and jokes, so I still enjoyed it a good bit.

He's a comedian, if you are offended that's ok, comedy offends. If you are offended and try to cancel the comedian you are also an a-hole and it would be great if you got hit by a truck.

I'm still not quite sure if he's that stupid or if it's all been an intentional genius troll this whole time.
