Do people where you live ever say ‘You can’t hide it’ when talking about having money

i've heard variations of it as a joke when someone gets a new job, promotion, etc.

Sounds like something the poors would say.

I agree. This is why I tell the world I can afford Destin with a sticker on the back of my wife’s van.

Around here it’s “Must be nice.”

I've known plenty of people that had loads of assets and the only you would know it would be to look at their financial information. They drove older cars, lived in modest houses, didn't take expensive vacations, wore normal clothing. The only thing that might give you a hint would be they ate the best food and belonged to nice clubs. If you saw them on the street you'd think they were just regular people.

Not really and its not true.

Most people who "look rich" is either really wealthy or trying to appear richer than they are.

I say most, but... Maybe I should say a lot.
