Nostalgia. Dynos were goat. VFR, Nitro, or Dyno GT?
Mags of course.

I had the same exact one in the 2nd pic. Got it for my 10th birthday. Rode it for a long time.
Me and the neighorhood kids built so many jumps and jumped it off some crazy things. I am surprised I never got hurt outside of a busted lip one time when I flipped backward after doing a wheelie(fortunately I had on a helmet)

Nice. I was a redline man, but those were sweet.

I had an 87 Detour, exactly like this:

Have an old dyno aluminum frame in the garage.

Bought a DYno GT for my daughter when she was 10. She loved that thing. She’s pissed now that her daughter was upset when she got a pink bike for Christmas.

I was a Redline fanatic but couldn’t afford one. Bikes like Dyno, Hutch, Haro, GT, Mongoose, and diamondback were all wildly popular in the early 80s. Watch the opening credits of the movie Rad...that was pretty much all I want it as a kid was one of those bikes.
It’s interesting that GT is still making bikes for a fairly reasonable price, but you can buy a mongoose bike at Academy on the cheap.

Yep just give the pedals a good kick in reverse and drift that bitch across a gravel driveway

Unless my parents sold it, my kelly green VFR is still in their shed.
Don't remember the brand, but my dad initially surprised me with a less expensive silver bike that, in retrospect, was pretty nice. It wasn't "cool" enough though because all my friends had Dynos and GTs, so I complained it wasn't what I wanted.
He exchanged it for my Dyno, but I still feel guilty for being an a-hole about it.

The second one that is silver and red is exactly what i had.
I road the kenilworth bmx track many times on that bad boy.
I would do all sorts of stuff for neighbors to make extra money and buy upgraded parts for the bike
