I know. The woke BS in advertising has gotten way out of hand; I completely agree with that. I understand that when this ad was published society wasn’t nearly as twisted as it is now, and it in no way had any pervasive message when it was printed. I doubled down having been called a leftist commie pedophile frick because I thought the original ad could have used an update in regards to content, more so than race. I meant no ill will towards the 50’s, or Elvis, or OP for that matter.

The original ad was from a simpler more innocent time. Now everything is viewed through the prism of some *ism. It's a damn shame, but we have too many weirdos that over-analyze everything.

When I was a kid, 54-64, it was common to see little girls, as in the logo, topless in bathing suits. It looks weird now, it wasn't back then. I saw an old family friendly movie from those days that had a topless girl in it that I think was about 10 or 11. It threw me because society had moved away from that long ago.

They could have just updated their logo and left it at that. No one would have thought anything woke about it, but they had to make a statement.

We have seen more than a few companies and executives step on their own dicks doing this. I'm amazed that they just don't shut their mouths and do it.

I don’t think we should use kids in mass marketing???

That’s not a kid; it’s a cartoon. The original was perfectly innocent. Changing it was a virtue-signaling, hand-wringing, obeisance to woke culture. Disgraceful.

Wait… so a topless, pre-pubescent girl, getting her bottoms pulled down by a dog isn’t inappropriate?
You’re projecting. It’s completely innocent. No rational person sees that logo and thinks anything sexual. You’re telling on yourself.
