I have to visit a couple jobsites where I'm close enough to the action to require FR clothes. Any suggestions who has decent FR at less than $100/shirt or pants?

Whatever you do, starch the shite out of it and they will all think you are a welder.

Go to bootbarn or academy and get some jeans and some long sleeve FR t-shirts. Too damn hot for the button down collared shirts right now...I work in them everyday and this heat kicks my arse

Amazon. Cheap. Ain't no one going to impressed by what you are wearing.
And if they are you probably could have sucked them off in the port-o-potty without dropping big bucks on FRCs.

I got some $50 wolverine henlys from academy a few weeks back. Rasco shirts are prettty cheap if you can find them. Good luck with the pants.

I like the Carhartt canvas FR pants. Every time I’ve tried to get FR jeans, I hated them. They’re always stiff and uncomfortable. I’m sure there are good brands that make comfortable FR jeans but I’ve just punted on that front. The canvas pants are heavier but I find them to be more comfortable and they last a long time.
For shirts, Carhartt and Ariat both make some pretty nice button-downs that are more like FR dress shirts than work shirts - if you’re trying to look professional and aren’t going to be doing actual labor. If you’re actually going to be working with tools and/or don’t really care about the look, both companies also make some nice long sleeve FR t-shirts. I think the Ariat ones are more comfortable because they don’t have the stupid Carhartt tag on the chest.
I’m pretty sure Boot Barn carries both brands. They definitely have Ariat boots and Carhartt FR’s. Not 100% sure about Ariat FR’s. But honestly I’ve been underwhelmed by the selection at Boot Barn in Baton Rouge. I’ve had better luck at Bear Creek but it’s kind of in BFE. There are some safety stores with great FR selections (especially around Laplace) but it all depends where you live and where you’re going.
You can easily find shirts or pants for less than $100 (good pants seem to cost more than shirts). It might be tough to get a good set (shirt AND pants) for <$100.

Order FR patches from the internet and sew them onto your jeans and collared shirts.

Buy tags off amazon and have them sewed into regular clothes. FR clothes are a scam.

Dumbest litigation driven regulation in the world. Makes zero sense. I would like my workers to be comfortable and less hindrance therefore happier and more productive.

False. They work well for flash fire. They’re not for standing in a fire

Years ago there was a dude that had a set up at that flea market on Airline in Prairieville that sold FR clothes at a nice discount. But it's been ten or twelve years since I needed any of that.
