Frisco, TX track meet stabbing: 1 student killed, another charged with murder

This happened "Too Close To Home", apparently one kid put his chair under one of those sport tent things and was asked to leave, instead he pulled a knife and stabbed a kid in the heart.
Two families ruined
The victim had a twin brother who tried to save him but couldn't.
The Frisco police said one student was killed, and another student is in custody after two students got into a fight on Wednesday at the UIL District 11-5A Championship track meet.
Police were called around 10 a.m. to the David Kuykendall Stadium about a fight between two students that ended with one stabbing the other.
The 17-year-old victim, Austin Metcalf, was taken to the hospital. He was later pronounced dead.
The 17-year-old suspect, Karmelo Anthony of Frisco, was placed in custody. He was charged with murder and is being held without bond.

Our whole city is stunned. We have a little more than 1 murder per 100,000 people here, the 8th lowest in the US. To have this happen at a school track meet is unthinkable. Rumors are it was over a phone.

I’ve heard that story and that the deceased had hit on the killer’s girlfriend.
Either way, there was existing animosity between them which makes this premeditated to a degree.

Blame will shift soon. At least on the Dallas news fb feeds people are not blaming the victim or taking up for the killer. In BR or NO the blame would be on the victim.
