Paging weather guys,,,IBM came up with the GRAF weather models a while back,,,,I’ve been using the GFS/Euro/HRRR and some ensembles off of Tropical Tidbits, but I cannot locate where to run a GRAF model,,,,any recommendations ?

I remember the GRAF was pretty accurate for one of the hurricanes a few years ago. Wind speeds around Baton Rouge, that is.

I haven't seen anything indicating that the GRAF is actually any good. Your best bet is still probably just looking blindly at the Euro for longer range and the HRRR & 3k NAM for shorter range. If you want to take the time, then you can read between the lines by looking across several models and ensembles as long as you know their biases and intended uses. At the end of the day, your best bet will probably be the local NWS forecast.

ETA: I should clarify that I've seen nothing to indicate the GRAF is better than what is freely available. Also, the ECMWF is running a number of AI models that are interesting to look at but haven't really impressed.

Drought busting rain coming up for many through the rest of the week no matter the model of choice.

Here's to hoping for no flooding issues.

Graf models seemed to have work great in short range (within 24rs), it forecasted hurricane Laura rapid intensification the day before it hit if I recall. They seem to be hit and miss with rainfall estimates
