Savannah, Ga., April 16, 2025 — Gulfstream Aerospace Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE:GD), today announced the all-new Gulfstream G800, the world’s longest-range business aircraft, has earned type certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) along with certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and has done so with even greater performance capabilities than originally anticipated.
The certifications confirm enhanced performance for the aircraft, including a range of 8,200 nautical miles/15,186 kilometers at the long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.85, an increase of 200 nm/370 km over original projections. The G800 also can travel 7,000 nm/12,964 km at its high-speed cruise of Mach 0.90 or an unprecedented 8,000 nm/14,816 km at Mach 0.87. The aircraft’s maximum operating speed has increased to Mach 0.935 from Mach 0.925.
My groundskeeper's assistant will be thrilled

So sexy. I watched a Bombardier global 7500 (I think) take off today from John Wayne. It was awesome.

Is that even big enough for my golf simulator?

If my life takes a dramatic upgrade, then one day I might have one.

With that range you could fly nonstop from Bawcomville to London or Tokyo.

If you buy 2, you get the second one for 37 million.

I'll order one for my shorter trips.
For longer trips I'll buy an AirBus business jet.

I've had the privilege to travel the world on multiple Gulfstreams - GIII, GIV, and G550. It unfortunately makes having to fly commercial pretty terrible

My butler may be interested.

Damn! The 700 was still hush hush when I left.

I feel like once your net worth is over $20,000,000 no additional amount of wealth meaningfully improves your life.
Except for this. This is the exception.

That's funny. No one with a net worth of $20 mil messes with private jets.

A lot of times individuals will set up a company that owns the aircraft which pays the flight staff and maintenance costs directly.

I have production number 17 reserved. It will be a while, but the deposit is made.
The range and speed sold me.
