Has anybody heard how Kip Holden is doing? I heard he was sick.

What a great mayor for the city of Baton Rouge. An all-time favorite.

If Kip was suited up, you know things were looking up.

Cowboy Kip was fun but Bike Cop Kip meant business.

If he is indeed sick, I hope he recovers fast. Good man who would always stop to talk to everybody.

Favorite Kip moment was post Katrina when he made them send all those buses to Houston.

Such a good down to earth dude. Toward the end of my time at LSU I ran into him at a downtown bar....we shot the shite for maybe over an hour...the whole time I kept saying man you look so familiar....he never did tell me or even hint at who he was till I figured it out on my own.

Whe I finally said, "oh...it just dawned on me where I know you...you're the mayor" he just chuckled and said yea.... they let me do that job, then changed the subject back.

Term limits made this city a disaster
I would love for Kip to still be in office

I was there in the north end that day and there were a few black stadium workers on th field near us. When he said that you could sent on their faces, they didn’t like that comment one bit.

I remember seeing him come into this nice restaurant and have this intimate candlelit dinner with his wife. Turns out it wasn’t his wife but some white lady. We couldn’t believe how he was so brazen about this in public.

Kip might as well have turned the lights out on BR behind himself after he left the mayor's office.

Agree or disagree with him at times, it was hard not to feel the city was in good hands with a competent leadership team and lead by someone who really wanted the best for Baton Rouge and all of its people. The city felt vibrant, positive, and looked toward an improving future ahead.

Aint that the truth. We use to see Kip out randomly at the bars. He would be like anyone else and just post up having a drink with 1 security detail. We would just have normal conversations. White girls loved them some KIP.

Two things Kip loved more than anything in this world:
- Ice cold Budweiser in a bottle
- Smooching white women on the lips
