I’m in the process of trying to get my money back for an event but I’ll probably just have to get fricked or get like $5.00 from the class action suit.

I imagine they cant refund until the original issuer of the ticket offers a refund.

That's really shitty. I hope this ruins them.

$750

I’m not bitching ... life is unfair. My guess is SeatGeek is broke as frick and doesn’t have the money to offer refunds.

$750 goes beyond "life is unfair."

The crux of the suit is that they retroactively changed policies from guaranteed refund to possibly a credit to a future purchase at SeatGeek’s discretion.

We had already paid $8500 down to go to Europe for 3 weeks in August. It is all cancelled and I am stuck with about $2800 in credits currently with no date on when we can take the trip. Sucks

We had a house booked in Nashville for a bachelor party for April. When all of this hit we literally couldn’t go on the trip.

It took our buddy, who’s a lawyer, 3 months to get us a credit that we can use within a year. No refund, a credit. I mean, we’ll use it for a couples trip or something, but’s it’s still bullshite IMO.

You should thank them and send another 15 bucks out of gratitude.

I thought I was going to get fricked by Ticketmaster over 4 tickets I bought. Luckily the band decided to postpone the show and offer refunds. As soon as the shows are rescheduled, I’ll have 30 days to claim a refund. If the show isn’t rescheduled in the next 60 days, that also will open up the refund window. I’d still like to see the show but in these economic times I’d rather just have the money back. I can always snag another ticket if things turn around.

I think stub hub won’t pay when the ticket sells but when the event starts.

I booked a condo in Florida for 5/1-5/5 on 4/29. On 4/30 they canceled my reservation and gave me a credit. Would not refund so I disputed charge with cc company to get refund.
