How dark is your tint on your vehicle?

I’m getting a tint job done this week and really have never gotten anything darker than “legal limit.” Which is 40%, I think?
I have the 20% or 5% option. Is it terribly difficult to see at night with the 5%? Anyone have issues before and had to change? Is 20% sufficient?

Recently got my 2 brake tags in NOLA. There was a guy away from the area removing the tint. I got the truck done, went and got the Jeep, he was still there. Felt bad for him, but it was comical.

Limo tint/5% is for white trash, only you can decide if appropriate.

Something like 50% on the windshield, 20% on the driver's and passenger windows. So, illegal but not very noticeable. Biggest thing is to go ceramic.

I had 5% tint all around on my old Civic back in high school/college.
It was awesome during the daytime, but at night the visibility was absolutely terrible.
I remember having to open my door at night to reverse sometimes.
I was pulled over several times and received over $600+ in fines all together.
As and adult, I don’t feel like drawing that type of attention to myself anymore.

Go 5% all the way around and 20% down the windshield.

Had to do this to my old truck last year. Pulled up to the shop, the guy looked at it and knew it was illegal (I had bought it with the tint on it).
Drove home, took it off in about 10 minutes, then got it inspected.
