That's just some shite the locals made up when Favre went to his first Super Bowl and the media showed up in town. I've never in my life heard anyone drop the N from Kiln in actual conversation.

This is my favorite type of thread on here. At least 8 different pronunciations presented as absolute facts. And the question never gets definitively answered.

Myself and Ms Carifex both grew up here. Parents still live there. Its care-REAR. If you say it any other way you aren’t from there. Thats how you can tell locals from out of towners.

The locals pronounce it different from how it is spelled.

It’s Ca-rear.

Ka-Rear.

The “I” is silent.

rival High Schools apparently.

he pronounced it “fricking ****a from Cah-Rare”
