I can't think of anything I want for Christmas

Anyone else like this? People keep asking me - my wife, family, etc. I have no idea. I work and make money so if I really want something, I just buy it. I don't sit around waiting for someone to buy me something anymore. At some point, Christmas presents become a little weird.
If someone gets me something, I am always thankful. But, I cannot think of a single thing that I want someone else to buy for me.

Me on Thanksgiving: I really can't think of anything I want
Me on December 24: Holy shite if I don't get ____, _____ and _____ I'm not sure I'll be able to go on with my life.

Do what I do. Just tell people to make a donation somewhere. That gets them to shut up and hopefully something good also comes from it.

Yeah, if I don't get a single present for Christmas, that would stink. I just can't think of what I want.

I have let actually asked for something or cared to get anything in a long time. I'm way past that age.
I love giving people presents but 99.9% of the time, the stuff I actually get given to me, I have no need for them and they never get used.
The actual stuff I want, I usually just buy it for myself as the year goes along

My brother always gets tools for his job at Christmas. He loves his socks, new work boots, and a cordless drill that holds a charge. He needs a toolbelt this year.
But since he's OT poor, I don't know what to tell you.

I'm the same way. I finally started having the wife tell people just to get me some decent looking ink pens. I lose them constanty so it's good to have Several. Got 8 or 9 last year and have one left.
I'm talking $15-20 pens here, not real expensive. It's convenient to have them and saves me having to go buy them.
The LSU Barnes and Noble has nice pens engraved with Louisiana State University that are perfect gifts to have on hand as "token" gifts.

I just buy it.
The wife and I are the exact same way. We love buying stuff for the kids, grandkids, parents etc.. but we feel if we buy stuff for each other it is just wasteful. If we want/need something... we just buy it and already have it.

I don't need anything and if I did I'd just buy it myself.

I tell my kids, and they oblige, that I prefer consumables.
Golf Balls
liquor
high end food items

But people are going to get you a gift regardless
The Apple watch I want is guestimated to be a couple thousand dollars. I can't possibly rationalize spending that much money on a phone watch. But that changes if it's a gift

The coolest gift I ever saw was back in the early 90's. My friend got in a car wreck and broke her arm bad. Some of her friends just put a bunch of random shite, individually wrapped in a box. It's not so much what you get as having something to unwrap.
As an adult I wouldn't mind having a box of random shite bought at the drug store. Including silly putty and a slinky. Mad libs would be fun.
