If your dorm bed was an upper bunk bed, would you use a bed rail?

Apparently this is a huge concern among some moms with sons in college. They're worried their boy will fall from the upper bunk and end up like OweO, so they insist on a bed rail. My view is if Junior doesn't have a habit of falling out of his normal level bed, why be worried about it.

Imagine going to college and your mom installing a bed rail. lol

I don't think we had them. Both of our beds were lofted. Desks and dressers beneath.

College is worse than kindergarten now. Bedrails and safe spaces.

I drunken rolled off the top bunk a couple times in college. Doesn’t hurt at the time but you definitely know it when you sober up.

We got these bad boys in boot camp. Pretty pathetic kid to have his mom install a damn bumper rail, hopefully any girls would turn back around

Yeah, I think I'd want one for the drunk aspect.

Geez, I'm a protective mom, but my kid is 1.5 years and still needs me. This is just insane. How embarrassing for that adult child she has.

A bed rail is incomplete without a mattress protector for when Braxtaylen wets the bed.

My biggest concern with sleeping on the top bunk was getting smoked by the fan

I ate shite out of the top bunk twice during a college ski trip. Large amounts of booze and extracurriculars were involved. I would have welcomed a handrail.

You had room for a fan?! shite, we had maybe 3 feet of clearance. You bolt upright in the middle of the night you're slamming your head into the ceiling.

His mom should just sleep next to him so he doesn’t roll off.

Only needed a rail for protective measure when banging a chick in the upper bunk. Otherwise useless.

I had two feet clearance along with a fan. So I guess it’s a wash
